Ruffin named ACMS teacher of the month

Life may take you in a different direction than planned — sometimes it ends up being the best outcome possible.

To kick off the first month of school, Raheem Ruffin was named Alexander City Middle School’s teacher of the month for August. For the last two years, Ruffin has taught 7th grade civics and geography at ACMS; however, teaching was never part of his original plan. He has a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in public administration, but he began his teaching career and transitioned into the classroom following the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021.
