Tallapoosa County School system is offering both free breakfast and lunch. All students are eligible thanks to the Community Eligibility Program.

Students can receive not only free lunch, but also free breakfast.

Director of child nutrition Jenny Knox with Tallapoosa County Board of Education school district said the district has been working to get this program for students for many years. To qualify for the Community Eligibility Program, an individual school or district must have a certain amount of Identified Student Percentage, which is based on the number of students certified for programs such as Medicaid, EBT, TANF, etc.
