Tallapoosa County Schools welcomes new deputy superintendent

Penny Johnson has been named the deputy superintendent for Tallapoosa County Schools.

The former Dadeville High School assistant principal is now the district’s deputy superintendent.

Penny Johnson actually started her career as a mechanical engineer technician. After having kids, she stayed at home and once they were a little older, she took a part-time drafting teacher position where she discovered teaching was her calling.
