Cade Coleman and Dawson Barrett help plant a “pizza garden” at Mamie’s Place Children’s Library Wednesday. Children planted veggies, spices and herbs that are used to make pizza, with the help of numerous volunteers from the community. The garden project is part of the Dig Into Reading Summer Reading Program. The 75 children who attended Wednesday also also did a craft, ate pizza – donated by Papa Bello’s – for a snack and participated in storytime. | Alison James
