Russell Medical Center will be a training ground for third and fourth-year osteopathic medicine students for the soon-to-be completed Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in Dothan.

ACOM is the first osteopathic medicine school in Alabama and is scheduled to welcome its first class of 150 students in August 2013.
