Volunteers the cog of Russell Medical

Submitted / TPI Russell Medical honored its 60-plus active volunteers with a luncheon earlier this month.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of many organizations, and that’s no different for a hospital like Russell Medical.

With more than 60 active volunteers, Russell Medical is chock full of people willing to give their time to the community. The main lobby and the Cancer Center front desk are manned by volunteers from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and volunteers are also stationed throughout the hospital, including in the cath lab, surgery waiting room, cardiac rehab, geriatric clinic, registration, human resources, gift shop, education department and emergency room. They also assist with clerical duties as needed.
