The Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) from Benjamin Russell High School spent the night of March 5 living aboard the battleship USS Alabama in Mobile, Alabama.

Benjamin Russell High School NJROTC were able to spend the night on the USS Alabama in Mobile recently.

Led by Commander John Walker, the NJROTC cadets learned about a “battlewagon” in World War II. The cadets also explored the submarine USS DRUM, which ranked eighth among all U.S. Navy subs for the amount of enemy shipping tonnage she sank.
