Friday nights for the foreseeable future are going to look a lot different for Jeremy Phillips. Rather than donning the headset, roaming the sidelines, he’ll be at home with his wife and kids. All the while, taking on a new adventure that is still in the realm of athletics.

On Tuesday, Phillips, who has served as the football coach and athletics director at Horseshoe Bend, announced his resignation from the school. Now, he’ll take over as the Alexander City Parks and Recreation Department director.
