For the second year in a row and the fourth time in the last five years, Butch Thompson’s Auburn Tigers will be hosting an NCAA Tournament Regional at Samford Stadium. The Tigers  finished the season 17-13 in the SEC and 38-19 overall.

That record was good enough to place Auburn as the No. 6 seed in the SEC Tournament. They defeated LSU and Texas A&M, but fell to Arkansas 2-1 in the semifinals. To prove yet again how incredibly deep and talented the SEC actually is, the league got 12 teams into the postseason, which is by far the most of any conference.
