Every year, Business Alabama, a monthly magazine, honors some of the top people and organizations throughout the state. And this year, one of Alexander City’s own made the list.

In February 2025, Russell Lands and the Adelia Russell Charitable Foundation together made a $3.2 million donation to Russell Medical, which was recognized by Business Alabama as the Philanthropic Project of the Year.
