The year was 2018, and angler Takahiro Omori dominated on Lake Martin to take home the top spot in the opening tournament of the Bassmaster Elite Series. He brought in a total of 59 pounds and 8 ounces, which was seven more pounds than Roy Hawk, who finished second.

Since then, the Bassmaster Elite series has ventured all across the country, but not back to Lake Martin — until now.
