Benjamin Russell’s winning streak appeared to be in jeopardy Friday night as the Wildcats got off to a slow start at Stanhope Elmore. They registered just one shot on target in the first 54 minutes of the game while the Mustangs created the better chances but that did not last.

The Wildcats started piling on the pressure in the 55th minute as Makenzie Davis and Abigale Sims forced SEHS goalkeeper Anna Dickson to make saves with long-distance shots. Benjamin Russell finally got on the board when Sims converted a penalty kick in the 59th minute and added another seven minutes later to help the Wildcats secure a 2-0 victory.
