Yet to have reached final form, Benjamin Russell wrestling had itself a solid day at the Class 6A Region 2 meet over the weekend. 

The first match against Russell County did not go according to plan. Benjamin Russell found itself fighting from behind from the get-go and ultimately fell 39-36 to kick off the meet. What ultimately played to its benefit was the odd number of teams. Benjamin Russell took a match off which helped the team snatch some results on the mat.
