Benjamin Russell's Saxon Coker takes home gold at Scott Rohrer invite

Submitted / The Outlook Benjamin Russell’s Saxon Coker took home the gold competing at 154 pounds during this weekend’s tournament.

For the fourth year in a row, Benjamin Russell’s Saxon Coker reigned supreme at the Scott Rohrer Invitational in Hoover. Competing at 154 pounds this weekend, Coker picked up six straight victories to earn the gold medal and move his season record to 40-2.

Coker started his day with back-to-back first-period pins. He took down Vestavia Hills’ John Speegle in a mere 55 seconds then followed that up with a pin in 1:17 against Smiths Station’s Lance Peterson.
