Kevin Durant still played for the Oklahoma City Thunder the last time Central Coosa didn’t win its Area Championship.

With a 42-29 win over Vincent Thursday, the Cougars locked up their seventh AHSAA Class 2A Area 8 title en route to what they hope is another deep playoff run.
