Dadeville drops road test at Wicksburg

Cliff Williams / The Outlook Dadeville’s Corde Jefferson (26) fights for yards against Randolph County Friday night.

After Wicksburg’s defense stopped Dadeville to start the overtime, quarterback Mason Burkhardt went to deliver a message to his Wicksburg coaches before the start of the Panther overtime series.

Coach Josh Cox and the staff, as they did most of the night, left the ball in Burkhardt’s hands and the sophomore quarterback delivered, scoring on a 7-yard run on third down to give the Panthers a 28-22 win over Dadeville at Panther Stadium in a battle of playoff bound teams.
