Dadeville’s Jay Burns sparks life into the offense

File / TPI Dadeville's Jay Burn (5) finished last week with three total touchdowns against Childersburg.

Touchdowns were hard to come by for the Dadeville offense for the first five weeks of the season. Dropping to 0-5 with only 48 total points to its name, the offense needed to make a switch. Enter new signal caller Jay Burns, the Outlook Player of the Week.

Burns has been a do-it-all athlete for the Tigers and originally entered his senior campaign set to be the team’s top pass catcher. However, he swapped his duties from catching passes to throwing them which has seen the Tigers’ offense reach new heights by winning three of their last four games.
