History in the making is the best way to describe the season Central Coosa is having at this point in time.

Since 1988, when the school first came to be, football has almost always been on the backburner in the grand scheme of athletic success. It was the basketball team that usually stole the show with five state championships to show for it. In the history of football at the school, the Cougars have had only one winning season in 2000, while the second-best seasons are a pair of 5-6 finishes in 1999 and 2015 — all three seasons were the only times the Cougars made the playoffs.
