A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 10:15 p.m. Friday has claimed the life of an Alexander City man.

According to an Alabama Law Enforcement Agency press release, Jerry L. Partee, 57, who was a pedestrian, was fatally injured when an unknown vehicle struck him while he was allegedly standing in the roadway. Partee was pronounced deceased at the scene, the release stated.Â
