Although Benjamin Russell felt like it was in the driver’s seat for the vast majority of Friday night’s Class 6A Region 3 football finale, Chelsea just wouldn’t go away.

After scoring on the first drive of the game, the Hornets watched a one-touchdown lead quickly slip away as Benjamin Russell scored three straight touchdowns. But with 4:45 left remaining and Chelsea still hanging around, the Hornets got back into things with a 31-yard touchdown pass to pull within one possession.
