I started writing this column back in 2011 and in that time, believe it or not, I have inserted my foot into my mouth on more than one occasion. In fact, I’ve now developed a taste for Crow and don’t have a problem chewing on my well-deserved portion.

I believe I proclaimed two weeks ago that Auburn would, in no uncertain terms, defeat New Mexico State and there was no doubt about it. However, for the record I did give them the obligatory “with all due respect.” Well, don’t I look foolish. My apologies to the entire Aggie team, head coach Jerry Kill, quarterback Diego Pavia and all 236 New Mexico State fans that made the trip to Lee County. What a colossal disaster.
