In Alabama’s history – a long a storied history – there have been few times in which our state can truly stand tall and be proud of what has taken place. Far too often we have had the spotlight of shame hit our state, being provided national criticism on so many levels.
There was the stand in the schoolhouse door by Gov. George Wallace, in an effort to prevent the desegregation of the University of Alabama.

possible.
* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following
counties, Autauga, Barbour, Bibb, Bullock, Calhoun, Chambers,
Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Greene, Hale,
Jefferson, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Montgomery, Perry,
Pickens, Pike, Randolph, Russell, Shelby, St. Clair, Sumter,
Talladega, Tallapoosa and Tuscaloosa.
* WHEN...Through Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
