At the end of every growing season I like to do a little assessment and rank the new-to-me plants I tried that season. This summer, I tried all kinds of new vegetables, particularly several varieties of hot peppers, as well as several varieties of beans. Hands down, the runaway hot pepper winner was the Tabasco pepper, and the new number one bean is the pinto bean!
