It’s 7:30p.m. and you are just sitting down for dinner when the phone rings – it’s a telemarketer calling. This situation has been repeated countless times in every state, but now there is something in effect that many are hoping will put a stop to the unwanted calls.

Last week, President George W. Bush inaugurated the national do-not-call-list. The list, which the Federal Trade Commission has been working on for more than a year, will block an estimated 80 percent of telemarketing calls.
