Henry Edward “Ed” Tompkins, Jr., 69, of Bluffton, SC, died Monday, March 20, 2006 at Hospice Savannah, Inc., in Savannah, Ga after more than 12 years struggling with Parkinson’s Disease.

He was born in Savannah, Ga., and he served in the US Marines, the US Navy Seabees Reserves, and as a Merchant Seaman.
