The last two property tax referendums for Alexander City public schools failed, but that won’t prevent Dr. Tommy Bice from trying again.

When Bice was hired as superintendent of the school system two years ago he developed a five-year plan for the system. In addition to improving academics, the plan also aims to remove the system’s financial dependence on the state.
