My name is Ean Dunton. I am a Level 3 PGA golf management intern at Willow Point Golf and Country Club. During my time here, it has been a tremendous joy getting to know the membership and experiencing different activities within the community. I was born and raised in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Growing up, I always enjoyed competition, which led me to focus on basketball and golf throughout high school. It did not take long for me to realize that through playing these sports that I loved I was able to make lasting relationships with people that I would otherwise never have the chance to meet. My senior year rolled around, and it was time to make the decision of where I wanted to attend college and what would be the focus of my studies.
I was a student at the same small school in Jonesboro for 14 years. I felt that it was time to step out of my comfort zone to try something different. Still clinging to my love for sports, this decision was difficult for me. I soon recognized the opportunity to compete at a higher level would leave me going to another small school where I would not be challenged in new areas. It was then that I learned about the professional golf management program at Mississippi State University. There I would be able to continue my passion for a sport that had positively impacted me all while earning a degree from an SEC school that would present me a plethora of new opportunities. I was sold.
