Houston Astros infielder Carlos Correa tore a left ankle tendon in batting practice and will likely miss the rest of the Major League Baseball season, the team said Wednesday.

Correa was a late scratch from the Astros' 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday after he was injured taking swings in pre-game batting practice.
