Judicial endorsements were the biggest question of the night at the Elmore County NAACP candidate forum Monday evening.
The only contested local races in Elmore County are for the 19th Judicial Circuit Court Judge Place No. 5 and Elmore County District Court Judge Place No. 2. Only Republican candidates qualified for the positions. All five candidates who qualified for the two offices were in attendance for the nonpartisan forum.

This activity has the potential to produce several inches of
rainfall for portions of Central Alabama. A broad area of Central

Chambers, Cherokee, Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Dallas,
Elmore, Etowah, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lee, Lowndes, Macon,
Marengo, Montgomery, Perry, Pickens, Pike, Randolph, Russell,
Shelby, St. Clair, Sumter, Talladega, Tallapoosa and Tuscaloosa.
* WHEN...Through Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.
