(The Center Square) — Birthright citizenship, transgender athletes in female sports and federal firing powers are among more than two dozen cases yet to be decided by the U.S. Supreme Court as the term draws to a close.

Traditionally, justices on the nation’s high court finalize decisions in cases by the end of June or the beginning of July, leaving only a few weeks before decisions are expected to be public.
