Thunder was still rattling windows in parts of Tallapoosa County before the sun rose Monday morning. In the storm’s path, nothing major had been reported yet.
“We have a few trees down,” Coosa County sheriff Michael Howell said. “We are still out and will know more when the sun comes up.”

Freeze Warning, from 10 PM this evening to 10 AM CDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Trees
could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Frost and
freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and
possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
