If you ever get the feeling you’re being played when you watch the national news, well, you probably are. And I don’t mean it in a President Donald Trump “You’re a bad, bad reporter” sort of way.

And I’m also not trying to throw my newsmedia peers under the bus. But what I do and what the national news reporters do are two different things anyway.
