On Monday, Auburn men's basketball coach Bruce Pearl announced his retirement, stepping down from his coaching duties to serve in an ambassador role as the special assistant to the athletic director, according to the school.Â
It is expected that his son, Steve Pearl, is to take over the mantle for his father. Steve served as the associate head coach for the Tigers last season.Â
