After Edgewood Academy’s baseball team clinched the top seed in AISA Class A Area 2, its players were battling minor injuries, worn out from a rigorous season. Even more dangerous, the Wildcats faced a two-week break before the start of their postseason journey.

Edgewood’s test was its first-round series against Coosa Valley Academy at Billy Skinner Field. The Wildcats clinched the series win in three games and will face Macon East at Paterson Field on Wednesday.
