It’s already shaping up to be a weird, yet expected, college football season to say the least. Almost like I called it after the overreaction from Alabama fans following their loss to Florida State — the Crimson Tide are fine and still natty contenders. And on the other hand, the teams expected to be the best, Clemson & Texas, are now unranked. We are still quite a ways away from the college football playoffs, but I want to go through what the current projections look like now and give my thoughts.

The College Football Playoff Selection Committee has yet to release its ranking yet — which rest assured will upset some people. So I’ve used the AP Poll as my baseline, chronicling how the top 12 will shake out based on how the Associated Press views things right now.
