Just two seasons out from an area title and Elite Eight appearance, the Wetumpka Indians are determined to prove they can compete with the best of the best in AHSAA Class 6A baseball. With a 7-1 record through the first three weeks of the season, the Indians are knocking at the door of a successful season and building up to another deep playoff run.

Last season, Wetumpka coach Russ Brooks fielded a talented but somewhat inexperienced team. The Indians finished with a 18-15 record, second in Class 6A Area 4, which earned them a playoff berth.
