Although retired, a former Reeltown High School band director continues to be an integral piece to the Marching Rebel Pride.

RHS band director Eric Thompson credits retired RHS band director Belinda Wright with setting the standard for small bands. When she was the director, resources were even more limited, yet Wright was able to lead a band that looked and sounded the complete opposite of its circumstances. The two have now developed a close friendship since Thompson invited her to continue her leadership by assisting with the beginner and intermediate bands as needed. As a result of her dedication to the band, and even financial support when possible, Thompson has started a GoFundMe for Wright to attend The Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference in Chicago with him. This clinic is one many band directors attend; sometimes even multiple times. However, this was not financially feasible during Wright's time at Reeltown.
