The Tallassee High Tigers 2026 campaign didn’t quite get off to the raucous start the faithful had hoped for, falling 34-7 to Montgomery Academy Friday night.

“If anybody was really shocked by the first half, they hadn’t been paying attention to the past few weeks,” first-year Tallassee coach Eric Folmar said. “We’ve been at this for about two months now as a staff and as a team. There’s a lot of challenges along the way and a lot of that doesn’t change over night. Montgomery Academy is a dang good football team. They may be the best football team we see all year. When you come out and don’t execute and get out-physicaled the way we were and out-efforted … that’s the result you’re going to get.”
