A new but old face will serve as president of the Tallassee Area Chamber of Commerce board.
Dustin Funderburk was sworn in to replace the outgoing Michelle Cole who served as president for the last two years. It is the second time Funderburk has served as president.

THE SOUTHERN HALF OF CENTRAL ALABAMA...
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect until 6 PM CST this evening.
* WINDS...Northwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 22 percent.
* IMPACTS...The combination of a dry air mass and windy conditions
will result in critical fire weather conditions. Outdoor burning
is not recommended. Current wildfires could worsen due to the
winds.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
