The courtroom in the Elmore County Judicial Complex was full of emotions as Clifton Potts admitted to the March 2022 murder of his wife Britney.

On March 18, 2022, less than 24 hours after Potts was released from prison for drug distribution, he killed his wife at her place of employment in Tallassee. Monday, Potts was before Circuit Court Judge Amanda Baxley to plead to murder and receive a life sentence.
