The unofficial beginning of the college football season, SEC Media Days, has come and gone. Sixteen head coaches stood before a room full of media members and waxed poetic about their respective teams and players. There was an overflowing abundance of coachspeak, which is to be expected, and a few kernels of truth. I’ve been around long enough and heard so many coaches speak over the years, I’m practically fluent in their native language. With that being said, allow me to translate what Hugh Freeze said last week in Dallas.

Quote – “I think our players sense that there is a chemistry among our staff that’s pretty special right now, I feel, that provides a confidence and an energy to our players and the way they go about chasing the standards that we’ve set for each other.”
