Segrest signs to wrestle at Huntingdon College

The auditorium at Tallassee was filled with family, friends and fellow wrestlers as senior Fischer Segrest signed with Huntington College on Monday.

“We are all very excited for Fischer,” said THS wrestling coach John Mask. “Fischer will be the sixth wrestler in the history of Tallassee to go to college and wrestle. He is the second to attend Huntington. Anytime one of our athletes gets to sign and go to the next level, it is great. Fischer has great grades, he has done the work in the classroom and that has also afforded him the opportunity. You have to be a good student and you have to excel in wrestling mats or where ever it is that you want to reach to next level.”
