Auburn University director of flight education David Bottomlee has led his life guided by three Fs: faith, family and freedom. All of those have led him to agree to take Auburn’s flight education program to the next level.

Since Bottomlee was young, he has had an interest in being a fighter pilot and protecting people. Naturally, the Air Force was the step he needed to take to see that dream through. However, his true purpose lay in being of service to others.
