John Alsobrook photographs the unwanted blazes that were tagged on different rocks and trees on the trail.

Smith Mountain trail manager John Alsobrook said a few days ago he noticed the trees and rocks along the trail had been tagged with arrows. Alsobrook said arrows or “blazes” are already placed on trees by Smith Mountain staff so those on the trail know they are still on the correct path. However, Alsobrook noticed more arrows were placed on rocks and trees by someone other than Smith Mountain staff.
