Elmore County BOE

Cliff Williams / TPI Elmore County Schools superintendent Richard Dennis said the system is doing its normal summer hiring right now.

The Elmore County Board of Education approved paying off nearly $9 million in debt from 2015 bonds at last week’s board meeting. The move will save the board about $1.2 million in interest.

“It really only leaves us the one $55 million we took out in 2018 for the construction projects we have completed such as Redland Middle School,” Elmore County Schools superintendent Richard Dennis said. “It’s at about 2% interest which is really good and leaves us in a great financial position.”
