Cliff Williams / TPI Former Alabama quarterback Brodie Croyle speaks to Elmore County Schools principals about leadership during a workshop at the central office.

It didn’t take long for Brodie Croyle to call a play in the huddle with the principals from Elmore County Schools. But it was much more a teaching moment in leadership than teaching football.

Croyle is now in charge of Kings Ranch and its various ministries and he shared lessons he has learned along the way that are represented by white space after his name instead of letters such as PhD. Croyle said he has learned to be a team player while being a leader at the same time. It is evident in his Ed Block Courage Award he received while playing with the Kansas City Chiefs.
