A fruity sandwich was enjoyed by many at the farmers’ markets in Millbrook and Wetumpka last week. Each one held a tomato sandwich day where sponsors took care of buying tomatoes, salt, pepper, mayonnaise and even bread. The combination was enjoyed by many on the spot. The telltale sign of enjoyment was a mixture of tomato juice and mayonnaise running down hands and arms. Some made it to the elbows.Â
In Wetumpka, River Region Law Firm made it possible for everyone to enjoy the red fruit. In Millbrook, Penton Farms and Evans Farm supplied the tomatoes, Chick-fil-A provided the bread and mayonnaise packs.Â
