Elmore County legends were honored at the annual Elmore County Civic Improvement League’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. banquet.
The banquet is a time to remember King’s efforts and recognize the efforts of those living and working in Elmore County who promote equality, fairness and service to others. This year’s banquet was centered around the theme of Mission Possible. Every year the keynote speaker is connected to Elmore County and delivers a message honoring the past while looking to the future. This year former Elmore County Schools media specialist, teacher, principal and superintendent Dr. Andre Harrison delivered a message about passing the baton to the younger generation by encouraging education.
