Veteran parents of Holtville Elementary School were treated to a school lunch with their child Thursday. It was the school’s way of honoring Veterans Day and let students share with others what their parents do. Veterans came to lunch, some in the BDUs and ate the same lunch as the students at no cost thanks to the Holtville Elementary School PTO.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
To prevent freezing and possible bursting of pipes they should be
wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly.
Those that have in ground sprinkler systems should drain them and
cover above ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
