Inmate stabbed to death at Staton

An inmate at Staton Correctional Facility in Elmore was stabbed to death June 5 and an inmate serving 20 years on a first-degree robbery charge now faces a murder charge, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections.

Joseph Clark Holloway, 52, was found by ADOC officers with multiple stab wounds at approximately 7 a.m. in one of the facility housing areas. Holloway was airlifted to a local hospital and later died from his injuries.
